More of my writing
Yep, I’ve been a writing fool over at Kombo lately. Last week I was unexpectedly inspired by a podcast that discussed the great art debate of videogames, so I took one of the stances and ran with it in regards to Final Fantasy VII. I know I pretty much begged for a flame war with the article, but the comments were surprisingly civil. Why Final Fantasy VII Should Never be Remade I have two more editorial ideas in the works, not to mention I’m reviewing a game this month, so expect more self-promotions. But that’s not all I’m going to be writing. I made a promise to myself that when Gabe turned 2, I’d get serious about writing that novel that has been churning in my head for the last few years. Gabe turns 2 at the end of this month, so...
More shameless self-promotion
I know it’s shameless and I don’t care. I wrote a Top Ten for Kombo this week that I am rather proud of and I had to immortalize here as well as on Twitter, Facebook, and well, Kombo. It’s a Top Ten of the games with the strangest leveling up/learning skills systems, and those of you who have any experience with RPGs will recognize several of the games on the list. I had a lot of fun with it, and I hope I can come up with something half as creative for the site again. Top Ten: Games with the Strangest Methods for Leveling Up/Learning Skills
Guest article published on GamingAngels.com

If you’re a gamer girl and you’ve never been there before, you should check out the site. It’s run entirely by women to feed the geek woman populace. It has everything in the geek realm from anime to videogames to gadgets to popular literature to random...
Final Fantasy XIII Review
If you’ve talked to me in the last few weeks, you know that my limited free time has been utterly sucked up by a game called Final Fantasy XIII. At least it’s a fabulous game, but dear Lord it took up a lot of my time and I’m still not finished yet. I had to play it as much as possible and more often than I ever have any other game, even more than when I review guides because 1) this game is one of the biggest releases of the year and 2) I was writing the review for a more professional company than my own website. But several hours and nearly 2000 words later, my review is up, and I’m very, very proud of it. If you would be so kind, please take a look, and at the very least, click the Digg button at the top. Final Fantasy XIII...
