No more voting for bitch v. anti-bitch. I don't care.

To my great friend Severy, who said that he tunes into my website to see "what I'm bitching about this week," this is for you:

Is that bitchy enough for ya???

Sheesh. And he knows I'm all crabby from my diet too. So here's my dilemma... do I be bitchy on purpose to spite him or do I not be bitchy to spite him? Hmmmmm... sounds like I win either way.

ANYWAY.

This weekend was Part 2 of the football extravaganza. We went down to Waco for the day to see the Tech/Baylor game. My parents met us there and we sat in the heart of Red Raider country. I was the only gold-shirted freak standing up in a sea of red cheering for the Bears. It was such a fun game. True, we lost kind of badly, but the scoring didn't really happen until the fourth quarter. Our defense was incredible!! I only wish that we kept the field goal points on the board and didn't try for a touchdown. Even though I still believe that our guy's feet were in, and the officials made a bad call, but whatever. We still put up a good fight. I hope that we can put up a good fight next week against Texas. That's going to be uuuuuuugly.

And of course, as is tradition for me when I go to Waco, we went to George's so I could have an El Nino baked potato. I know it's a heart attack on a plate, but it's so tasty I really don't care. Carleigh and Trey stopped by while we were waiting for a table (and we did wait awhile... it was Homecoming weekend). As always, it was fabulous to see them. The only downside to the whole day was that I forgot the sunscreen. Today I'm sporting a painful red glow on only half of my face and neck. I really hope it fades by tomorrow as people at work make fun of me enough as it is.

Next weekend is the Packers game! This year is probably not the most optimal year to go, but I'm sure it will be fun. We'll see how much of a weenie I'll be in the cold. Oh yes, there will be pictures.

I hate it when people analyze what I eat and my tactical strategies for food consumption. I've always wondered why people feel the need to comment on a person's food and how they eat it. Is that all you're going to eat? Why do you always bring yogurt and fruit? Wow, not much meat in your sandwich. Why do you eat your fruit first?

Auggggh! First off, do the answers to those questions really freaking matter? Second off, I never really think about what I bring for lunch or how I'm eating it. I just sit down and eat and hope that I'll get full so I'm not miserable all day. And people wonder why I'm always eating in my office. I eat here so I can avoid food interrogations. But for the record, I always bring fruit because I like fruit. I don't eat enough of it. I don't have much meat in my sandwich because I ran out. I eat my fruit first because it take awhile to microwave those TV dinners and I'm hungry now, and look hey, the fruit is ready to eat.

However, I think I hate dieting even more than food analysis. I'm on the patented Man Show "Stop Eating so Damn Much Diet" and it SUCKS. All I've been doing is not getting second helpings and I don't bring as much food for lunch. And I'm hungry all the time. Which makes me miserable. And a little cranky. And have headaches. All I want to do is shed these married pounds (all 25 of them) and fit in my jeans comfortably. Apparently that comes with a price of full tummy and shiny personality.

Houston... we have a problem...

So hey, the Astros lost. But like I said before, gotta give the boys kudos for making it this far. The Texas Rangers can't even claim that. Another score for Houston teams over Dallas teams. What made me happiest about this whole trek was that Bagwell and Biggio, two players that I adored from high school, are still a part of the Astros. I hope that they're still around next year as well. The Astros have moved up every year, so next year I think it will be their year for the World Series. Even if it's not, oh well. Loyalty knows no season.

Dear God I have to repeat that phrase often for this Packers football season. I need to make shirts and hang a banner by the TV on Sundays. At least the Colts are doing well, but it's just not the same. Apparently I've taken on the nickname of "Green Bay" at work, and right now I'm paranoid if they're calling me that because I fail to perform or something.

I am so glad that fall is finally here, but I forgot one huge drawback to the chilly mornings. It is extremely hard to get out of bed on a frosty morning. The bed is so cozy and warm and the rest of the house is, well, not. Same goes for my office. I didn't think I'd be wearing my sweater jacket indoors today.

This weekend marked the first of three football weekends in a row. We had a blast. And since the Colts are in the same division as the Texans, this will probably become an annual trip for us. Some day we'll trek up to Indianapolis to see a game in the Hoosier Dome itself, but this will do for now. Lisa had fun talking some schmack early on when Peyton threw an interception and the Texans caught up to the Colts in the first half, but she grew silent by mid-third quarter. Hehehehe. I thought it was going to be a good football day all around for me but nooooooo, the Packers had to go and fuck it up in the fourth quarter. I'm so glad I was at the Colts game so I couldn't watch that agony.

It was pretty much a sports filled weekend. We watched Game 1 of the World Series on Saturday and then Game 2 Sunday night. Come on ASTROS!!! I know you can win this. Make this native Houstonian proud!!!

Be sure to watch Game 3 tonight... GO 'STROS!!!

Have I mentioned how much I love South Park? Tonight's episode is cracking me the hell up. I don't know how they come up with episodes so close to current events. I want to write the creators and tell them how much I love them.

I had no idea that the world of webcomics and video gaming could be so crazy. Is anyone else following up on the latest drama with Jack Thompson and Penny Arcade? It deserves pulling up a lawn chair and munching on popcorn. But then again, everything Jack Thompson seems to be doing deserves munching on popcorn.

Finally beat the Inuyasha game I got for Christmas! It only took about a year. Before you think I'm a terrible gamer (which I actually am), it didn't take me a year straight to play it. I only logged on about 25 hours. Still not sure if it was worth it. The dialogue was soooooo bad. But hey, at least I finished it. Now I should resume another game that needs finishing, like oh, Kingdom Hearts. DT beat it this last week, so now I feel like I must also finish it. Well, I should definitely finish it before the second one comes out. That's a more probable goal for me. But now that I've finished this one, I can justify buying the new Inuyasha game! Excellent.

Changed my banner again. I think only three people will get the joke. Maybe. Oh well if they don't. It makes me chuckle.

Little happy nostalgic trip with X-Men has come to a halt. I didn't realize how bad this show really was. Why didn't I know in high school how bad this show was? The dialogue leaves something to be desired. And why all the focus on Wolverine? Is this really the Wolverine Show in disguise? Yes, I know they made him all badass in the movie, and he is rather cool in the comics, but this show just throws him in your face to the point of annoyance. It doesn't help that the voice actor sounds like he's trying too hard. But oh yes, it's still on my DVR pass. I keep hoping for episodes about Gambit and Rogue. I just love her character design in this show. Or even Beast and Cyclops. Anybody but Wolverine. If only Psylocke was around. She was one of my favorite characters in the comics. I can only hope that she'll show up in the next movie, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I finally put up the pics from Anime Weekend Atlanta. There weren't many, but I had to post the picture of the COOLEST CUBICLE EVER. I wish I could do that to my office.

I got to meet another cel collector this weekend. Nida had an install in Fort Worth, so when she finished there, she came over and crashed at my place until Saturday. It was so cool meeting someone that I had been talking to online since I started cel collecting. It was even cooler finding out that she's the same person in person as she is online. I always wonder about that, when you talk to someone online.

Oh and speaking of cels, to the guy that always asks Shawn if I have new cels, yes, I updated my gallery this weekend. Since I'm on dial-up, I upload the scans as soon as the cels come in just because it's a pain in the ass uploading pictures in bulk on dial-up. I hope this gets remedied soon. So check my gallery every other week as I don't always announce it here because my mass audience doesn't care.

Warning! Incoming geek talk.

I've been a little nostalgic as of late. When I was in high school and first getting into X-Men, Fox had a X-Men cartoon that ran in the afternoons along with Batman: the Animated Series (which ruled!) and sometimes on Saturday mornings. I religiously taped this cartoon. My mom can blame this show for getting me into comics in the first place. But as time has gone on, I have lost this tape that had all of these shows. The other night I was flipping through channels and lo and behold, Toon Disney runs this show late at night! I got so excited, I programmed DVR to record such goodness. But then today I decided to check out Amazon to see if they ever made DVDs of this show. With all of the TV series that are made into DVD these days, you never know. And yay for me, DVDs were made and Amazon has them! So of course I loaded them all into my wishlist.

Along with the X-Men: Evolution DVDs. I wasn't as huge of a fan of that show but it has Kirby Morrow. And Scott McNeil. And Richard Ian Cox. I could listen to the three of them talk all day.

That and I can never have too much X-Men goodness.

Fucking Packers.

I know that loyalty knows no season and all that blah blah blah. But seriously. Fucking Packers.
